Cassie Barlow
Expertise: Workforce Development, Leadership, Organizational Development, Teaching, High School & College Internships, Intermediaries
Dr. Cassie B. Barlow leads SOCHE’s collaboration among 23 higher education institutions and focuses on workforce and faculty development. She previously commanded Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. A Georgetown graduate, she has held 13 assignments across her career.

Dee Smith
Expertise: Career-Technical Education, Government Relations
Dee Smith is the Executive Director of the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education (Ohio ACTE), a position she has held since 2023. With over 20 years of experience in government relations, Dee’s passion for career-tech education stems from her own experiences as a career-tech student. She is dedicated to ensuring that all Ohio students have access to high-quality CTE programs. Dee lives in rural Fairfield County and enjoys working out, golfing, and spending time with her family.

Dustin Goldie
Expertise: Workforce development for at-risk students
Dustin Goldie directs a Tier II alternative school program at Little Miami HS supporting job skills and career readiness for at-risk students. With over 20 years in education and as a cattle business owner, he brings real-world insight to his teaching.

Ellen Erlanger
Co-Founder and Co-Director of Professional Learning, Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership

Ellen Erlanger has over 50 years of experience in service-learning and authentic teaching. A former teacher and administrator, she co-founded Partnerships to empower educators and students. She’s known for championing real-world, purpose-driven learning.

Emily Turner
Expertise: Choose Ohio First, STEM Education, Workforce Development Programs
Emily Turner has three decades of experience in Ohio’s economic, community, and workforce development sectors. She began her career in economic development before moving to private consulting and then to nonprofit leadership. Emily is currently the Director of the Choose Ohio First program, a $200 million scholarship program aimed at increasing access to STEM education for Ohio residents. She holds a master’s degree in public administration and a bachelor’s degree in political science.

Emily Beeson
Expertise: Executive Director, Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership
Emmy Beeson is a former superintendent of K-12 and CTE districts, now helping communities build directional systems and lead innovation. At Partnerships, she supports vision-setting, leadership, and sustainable change strategies.

Heather Sherman
Expertise: STEM Education, Workforce, Manufacturing Pathways
Heather Sherman leads Battelle’s STEMx national network and formerly directed the Ohio STEM Learning Network. Her work supports teachers through programs like Design Challenges, teacher externships, and rural STEM initiatives.

Jenny Meade
Expertise: CTE Leadership, Program Development, Student Pathways
Jenny Meade leads the Career Technical Education programs at Columbus City Career-Technical Planning District. With experience as both principal and assistant principal in the Columbus City Schools, she brings a strong foundation in instructional leadership and career-focused education pathways.

Joy Wolfel
Expertise: Career Exploration, Student Advising
Joy Wolfel serves as the Career Exploration Lead Facilitator at Mid-East Career Center, supporting students across the center’s three-and-a-half county Career-Tech Planning District (CTPD). She leads a regional team that delivers career development services to 13 member districts, helping students explore career options, pursue enlistment, enter the workforce, or continue their education. Her work ensures students are guided through graduation and into meaningful postsecondary pathways.

Kathy Meyer
Co-Founder and Co-Director of Professional Learning, Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership

Kathy Meyer is a former teacher, school counselor, and district administrator. She co-founded Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership to support authentic learning strategies, including service-learning, PBL, and career development in K-12 schools.

Kayla Mack

Kayla Mack is a strategic leader and passionate advocate for career-connected learning. Kayla is dedicated to creating meaningful educational experiences that prepare every student for success beyond the classroom. With over a decade of experience in education policy, stakeholder engagement, and cross-sector collaboration, she has advanced statewide initiatives that expand meaningful pathways for students. As Associated Administrator of Secondary Supports for Student Pathways and Partnerships, Kayla leads efforts to elevate advising systems, strengthen industry relationships, and empower students across Ohio to explore their futures with confidence.

Lauri White
Associate Vice Chancellor, Workforce Engagement, Ohio Department of Higher Education

Expertise: Postsecondary Education, Workforce Development, TechCred, Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP), Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) programs
Dr. Lauri White joined the Ohio Department of Higher Education in September 2019 as Associate Vice Chancellor, Workforce Engagement. With over 30 years of experience in higher education, Dr. White is involved with several initiatives, including TechCred and the Great Minds Fellowship Program. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change from Benedictine University and a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Wyoming.

Lisa M. Chambers
Expertise: Career-Connected Technology Programs for K-12 Students and Educators, Pre-Apprenticeship and Work-Based Learning Programs.
Lisa M. Chambers is the Chief Executive Officer of TECH CORPS, a national nonprofit organization that empowers students to succeed in a world transformed by technology through career-connected learning experiences. With over twenty years of experience in building cross-sector strategic alliances, Lisa’s strategic vision and dedication to bridging the technology opportunity gap have established TECH CORPS as a national leader.

Opal Brant
Expertise: Employer Engagement, Workforce Development, Economic Development
Opal M. Brant is a seasoned talent strategist with nearly two decades of experience in HR and workforce development. As Emerging Talent Manager at One Columbus, she leads the development of K-12 talent pipeline strategies, collaborating with industry leaders and educators to create inclusive talent pipelines that align with the region’s economic needs.

Paula Compton
Associate Vice Chancellor for Articulation and Transfer, Ohio Department of Higher Education

Paula Compton is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Articulation and Transfer at the Ohio Department of Higher Education. She plays a key role in developing statewide college-level curriculum for various technologies and works closely with the ODHE Workforce Development area and industry partners. Paula holds a wealth of knowledge in college credit pathways and transfer initiatives.

Rich Granger
Managing Director, Workforce and Economic Development, DriveOhio (Ohio Department of Transportation)
Expertise: K-12 STEM career education, Industry-Recognized Credentials, TechCred
Rich Granger is the Managing Director of Workforce and Economic Development at DriveOhio, an initiative of the Ohio Department of Transportation. Rich manages workforce development programs to prepare Ohio’s talent for transportation jobs of the future and supports economic development initiatives in sectors such as electric vehicles and advanced air mobility. He lives in the Columbus area with his family.

Shannon Cox
Expertise: Business Advisory Councils, Career Navigation, Student Engagement
Shannon Cox leads efforts across 16 school districts and statewide career-connected learning. A TEDx speaker and recognized leader, she co-leads a top-performing BAC and advocates for policy and student opportunity.

Shannon Vanderpool
Expertise: Workforce Development, TechCred, Individual Microcredential Assistance Program (IMAP), Industry Sector Partnership (ISP) programs
Shannon Vanderpool is a Senior Business Incentives Administrator at the Ohio Department of Development, where she oversees key workforce development programs including TechCred and IMAP. With over three decades of experience in public service, project management, workforce policy, and employer engagement, Shannon plays a critical role in connecting state resources with businesses and economic development organizations. She brings a unique blend of strategic insight and practical experience, enabling her to translate complex workforce policies into effective, business-focused solutions. Shannon is known for driving impactful initiatives that respond to employer needs, strengthen Ohio’s workforce, and support long-term economic growth.

Susan Bodary
Expertise: Pathways, Policy, Attendance, Systems Leadership
Susan Bodary leads the Stay in the Game! network and has been a trusted advisor to governors and education leaders. She co-founded Learn to Earn Dayton and was a partner at Education First.

Tasha Werry
Expertise: Partnerships, Program Development, Collective Impact
Tasha Werry is the Executive Director of Building Bridges to Careers (BB2C), an organization she helped found to connect students, teachers, and parents with business and community leaders. Tasha has a background in education and completed her Educational Doctorate in 2016, focusing on BB2C. Under her leadership, BB2C has expanded its community and career-connected learning initiatives across Southeast Ohio.

Andrea Smith
Expertise: Coordination and Facilitation of a regional BAC committee, Annual BAC plan development, BAC data collection, Data informed decision making.
Andrea Smith is currently the Superintendent for North Point Educational Service Center, located in northern Ohio. She began her career at Fremont City Schools and has held roles as teacher, principal, and curriculum director. Andrea holds degrees from BGSU and the University of Findlay.

Chad Aldis
Expertise: K-12 Education Policy, Policy Advocacy/Government Relations, Education Data and Research, and School Funding
Chad Aldis leads Fordham’s Ohio education policy, advocacy, and research efforts. He’s influenced school funding, graduation requirements, and school choice debates. He’s also held leadership roles in Iowa, Florida, and with national foundations.

David Giesige
Expertise: Career-Connected Learning, Collective Impact, Employer/Industry Engagement
David Giesige leads the PACE Framework at Greater Cleveland Career Consortium, serving 30,000+ students. A Fulbright Scholar and civic leader, he focuses on career-connected systems change. His work has been recognized by Crain’s and other leadership awards.

Erica Noll Crawford
Expertise: Workforce Development, Short-term Credentials, Distance Learning
Erica Noll Crawford manages student success initiatives at Miami Online. With a background in micro-credentials and professional education, she’s committed to accessible, high-quality education. She’s pursuing a doctorate in Ed Leadership.

Joel Nelson
Expertise: Employer Engagement, Career Pathways, Distance Education, Community Partnerships
Joel Nelson oversees workforce and education programming at Godman Guild. His background includes program management at OSU and Columbus State, and he is a leader in digital equity and cross-sector career pathway work.

Lisa Patt-McDaniel
Expertise: Workforce and Economic Development, Emerging Talent, Job Centers
Lisa Patt-McDaniel leads Aspyr, formerly the Central Ohio workforce board. She’s a seasoned leader in workforce systems, community development, and WIOA policy, with past leadership at the Ohio Department of Development.

Dr. Molly Feghali
Expertise: Curriculum Design, Career Coaching & Mentoring, Facilitation
Molly Feghali oversees career readiness programming at Y.O.U., serving 10,000+ students. A former professor and mentoring program leader, she holds a Ph.D. in urban education and has deep experience in youth workforce development.

Rae Ellen Douglas
Expertise: Executive Leadership, Workforce Strategy, Program and Grant Management, Employer Engagement, Career Pathway Design, Large-scale Workforce Initiatives
Rae Ellen Douglas is the Founder and CEO of REDsearch, a certified Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and Women’s Business Enterprise (WBENC) specializing in executive search, workforce consulting, and strategic advising. She partners with public and private sector clients to strengthen leadership pipelines, align talent strategies with business goals, and scale programs that deliver long-term results. Currently, one of the projects REDsearch assists in leading is the statewide technical assistance for Battelle’s Ohio High School Manufacturing Pathway initiative—helping align high schools, career-tech programs, and employers with the needs of today’s workforce. Her team supports curriculum development using the Ohio Manufacturing Competency Model, coordinates credentialing and professional development for instructors, and assists with experiential learning strategies to better prepare students for high-demand careers. Recently, Rae Ellen served as Hub Manager for Ohio’s Auto and Advanced Mobility Workforce Strategy, supporting Industry Sector Partnerships across Central and Western Ohio in coordination with the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation and The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association. She also led the implementation of Super RAPIDS in these regions, as well as the design and launch of Central Ohio’s WorkAdvance program under the U.S. EDA Good Jobs Challenge (GJC) grant—working closely with community partners, educators, and employers to expand access to training and job placement. With over 25 years of experience, Rae Ellen has built her career around helping businesses and organizations tackle complex challenges. In her previous C-suite roles, she led multi-million-dollar initiatives, built and scaled high-performing teams, and guided organizations through transformational growth. Through her leadership at REDsearch, she has partnered with organizations such as Stanford, NYU, Mayo Clinic, OhioHealth, Honda, Columbus State Community College, Battelle, the Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA), Fairfield Medical Center, and The Ohio Manufacturers’ Association—delivering executive search, workforce consulting, and strategic advising to help them meet evolving talent and organizational goals. She is a proud Denison University alumna, holds a Corporate Governance Certification from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and is a certified Harrison Assessments practitioner. Rae Ellen was named a 2025 Women of Influence by Columbus Business First and currently serves as Advisor to the Board and Board Vice President Emeritus for the Columbus Literacy Council. She is also an Advisor to the MBA Program at Ohio Dominican University and a Founding Member of Fortuna Bank. A resident of Bexley and an investor in One Columbus, Rae Ellen remains committed to helping Ohio’s businesses, organizations, and communities grow and thrive.

Robb Gonda

Robb Gonda brings 29 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. He leads regional strategies to expand student access to work-based learning and supports career pathway assessments across schools.

Tony Trapp
Expertise: Work-Based Learning, Pre-Apprenticeships, Career Tech
Tony Trapp has over 22 years of experience leading apprenticeship programs in CTE. He coordinates work-based learning and presents nationally on building strong business partnerships for student success.
