Akron Education Leader Joins Business Leaderson Board of Statewide Education Advocacy Group

COLUMBUS, OH – Ohio Excels, a non-profit coalition of Ohio business leaders focused on strengthening education policy and workforce solutions, has added Tim Miller to its board of directors. A resident of Akron, Miller has served on the Akron Board of Education as well as the State Board of Education.


“Ohio Excels is proud to be a leading voice in helping to advance education and

workforce issues in the state and we look forward to the insights Tim Miller will bring to our organization,” said Lisa Gray, president of Ohio Excels.


Miller is the owner of Insurance Services Agency in Akron and is an active member of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB Ohio). A graduate of the University of Akron, he has been active in support of education policy, serving two elected terms on the Akron Board of Education and two years on the State Board of Education. He currently serves as vice chair of the NFIB Akron Area Action Council.
