Who We Are
Ohio Excels is a nonprofit organization committed to helping improve education for every student. The organization was created in 2018 on the belief that the unique insights and experiences of business leaders can add meaningful value in discussions among policymakers regarding Ohio’s education and workforce policies.
In just a few short years, Ohio Excels has been at the forefront of meaningful improvements to our education and workforce systems. We have successfully advocated for graduation standards that prepare students for our new economy; helped create easy-to-understand school report cards so that parents, students, educators, and community members can fairly understand how well their schools are doing; advocated for researched-based early literacy strategies; supported increased need-based aid for postsecondary school students, and much more.
